Andy is originally from New York, but in 2003 realized his lifelong dream when he moved to Polson, Montana.  In addition to shooting competitively and giving shooting lessons he enjoys fly fishing, traditional archery, hunting, knife making, and horse and dog training.

Andy began shooting sporting clays in 1983, like many other avid shotgun shooters, as a way to improve his wing shooting.  Since that time he has been on the NSCA All-American Team 17 times, Team USA 20 times and has over 150,000 Lifetime Targets.  He has the distinction of being the only shooter to claim the NSCA National Championship title 3 times winning it first in 1994 then successfully defending the title in 1995 and claiming it again in 2002.  In 2005 Andy was honored by being inducted into the NSCA HAll of Fame.

Andy has always been an advocate of great sportsmanship and the promoter of quality shooting.  He demonstrated this high quality in the late 1990s when he and Zachary Kienbaum were shooting off for Master 2nd and 3rd at the National Championship, Zachary went first and lost his first pair when he left his safety on Andy was up to shoot, called for his first pair and shot both rounds into the ground about 25 yards out so that he and Zach could start off even.  In front of about 200 spectators, Andy made a split second decision to make sure the shoot-off was fair.

Andy's championship titles are too long to list, but here are a few of his major accomplishments.  He was Champion at the 1994, 1995 and 2002 National Championships and the 1995 Big Pig Open.  In 2000, he claimed Champion at the US National and Pan American FITASC Championships, the Motor State Open and M&M Seafood Blast.  In 2002 and 2003, Andy was the National Pro Am Sporting Champion and the 2003 Great Eastern Lobster Classic Sporting Champion and Zone 4 FITASC Champion.  In 2004, he was the FITASC Champion at the Pro Am, Harvest Shoot and the World Compak; the Sporting Clays Champion at the Great American Sporting Clays; and Krieghoff  Kup Champion at the National Championship.  In 2005, Andy was the Sporting Champion at the Red Apple Open the Gene Sears Open, and claimed the Canadian FITASC High Overall.  In addition to these numerous wins, Andy has also claimed State championships in twelve different states.
